Weekly Scripture Quiz Hint

Every week the students are quizzed on scriptures that they are supposed to memorize. On the quiz we cover two passages. They have to write out the passage word for word. The first passage on the quiz is the passage of the week. Here is a link to the list of scriptures for the beginning of next Semester.

The second scripture passage they have to write is a review passage. It can be any one of the past three weeks passages. The students are not told which passage it is going to be so they have to be able to write out 4 passages word for word each Friday.

Many students wait until Thursday night to prepare for this quiz. This makes it very hard for them to "know that they know" 4 different passages of Scripture. Theses quizzes are very important because they make up 20% of the total Bible grade.

I suggest that these verses are review 5 to 10 minutes everyday. I also suggest that on Tuesday night and Thursday night the student sits down and writes the verses out (the four that could be quizzed on that week) to see how they do on a word for word comparison. Then they can adjust their study accordingly from those test quizzes.
