Character Qualities

Christ-centered:
Developing, “growing” Christ-centered adults is the primary goal of all educational endeavors at Heritage Christian Academy. All instruction, in all areas, is measured against this standard.

Cultured:
Cultivating an appreciation of art, culture, beauty and tradition contributes to the overall “rounding-out” of the character of HCA students, as they prepare for full, abundant lives.

Servant:
A Christ-centered education flows out from HCA students as they enjoy opportunities to serve their community, globally as well as locally.

Discerning:
Through their education HCA students have gained a measure of wisdom, and know that the accumulation of wisdom should never cease.

Inquisitive:
HCA students are curious and have active, flexible intellects. They know that there is nothing to fear from inquiry because all Truth ultimately belongs to God and is therefore worth pursuing.

Passionate:
HCA students have a passion for life and a desire to live deliberate, purposeful lives. They desire to use their God-given gifts to impact the world.

Joyful:
HCA students know that true joy comes only from an abundant life in Christ and a desire to grow in their faith.

Influential:
HCA students do not seek to be insulated from the world. They long to be engaged in it in order to change it for Christ.

Knowledgeable:
HCA students believe that knowledge and understanding are acts of love toward God who created us capable of knowledge and with a desire to learn. The more we understand the truths of God’s world, the deeper our impact in the lives of others will be.

Diligent:
HCA students know that becoming all that God has called them to be takes hard work and disciplined study.

Brave:
HCA students are confident in the face of adversity, ready to proclaim the Truth of the Gospel, standing firm in the fullness of Christ, where there is no place for fear.
