Deut. 6:4-9: "O Israel, listen: Jehovah is our God, Jehovah alone. You must love him with all your heart, soul and might. And you must think constantly about these commandments I am giving you today. You must teach them to your children and talk about them when you are at home or out for a walk; at bedtime and the first thing in the morning. Tie them to your finger, wear them on your forehead, and write them on the doorposts of your house!"

As the leadership and staff of Heritage Christian Academy strives to move forward in the challenge of passing on a rich inheritance of faith to its children, they continue to rely on the riches available in Christ Jesus, who is the Author and Perfector of that faith. Surely, through the years, He has honored the obedience of the Academy's godly leaders in the following ways:

"Love Him with all your heart." The example of godly, Spirit-led instructors who diligently study to show themselves approved, as workmen handling the words of Truth, is at the heart of Christian education. In the words of one staff member, Mr. Rodney Nelson, "Christian education is based on fundamental truth." All aspects of school life, academic, social and spiritual are guided by ONE TRUTH, ONE GOD, as revealed through Scripture. Students are presented with opportunities to accept the salvation of Jesus Christ throughout their school career at the Academy. In the words of an HCA Alumnus: "Please continue to hire teachers with a heart for students who genuinely want to see kids grow in their walks with God, relationships with others, and strive for academic excellence."

"Think constantly about these commandments" Students at the Academy are trained in all areas of their education from a Christian perspective. Creation is taught as the TRUTH it is, History is taught from the perspective of GOD'S TRUTH, Music is taught as the invention and gift of God...All things are from the Lord, therefore, students are taught to judge all things in the light of the Word of God.

Students begin in Preschool to memorize a monthly portion of Scripture, hiding God's Word in their hearts, preparing and equipping them for life. A Parent of five HCA students said, "We know it is part of God's plan for our children to attend Heritage Christian Academy where the staff and fellow students help to nurture our children's faith according to their own unique blueprint. Our desire is to raise our children according to biblical principles and the Lord has provided the resources for us to do that. What a blessing it is for our children to call HCA their workroom for the Holy Spirit!"

In response to the still-increasing demand for Christian education, the leadership of HCA, the families of the church and academy, have joined together in the pursuit of a permanent home for the school. Nearly 14 acres of land in Maple Grove, Minnesota, will be the new home for both the school and the church. The new site is on the SW corner of Bass Lake Rd. and Vicksburg Lane.

As Heritage Christian Academy continues to set the standard of excellence in Christian education, it moves forward with the opportunity for expansion, to join God in His work, to "Go and make disciples in all nations,...teaching these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you." Matthew 28:19.
