Curriculum
Heritage Christian Academy is committed to Biblical integration in all areas of study. We believe all truth comes from God and that school is not only for academics, but also for carrying out the Biblical mandate found in Proverbs 22:6.
In the elementary grades a strong reading program based upon phonics is used, published by A BEKA. In academic subjects the Biblical approach to life is reinforced. On each elementary grade level new material is taught with a thorough review of old material. This is based on Isaiah 28:10 "For it is precept upon precept, precept upon precept, rule upon rule, rule upon rule; here a little, there a little." This structure allows students to progess steadily from year to year. It also provides the learning to take place in a variety of creative ways.
In the secondary grades various publishers are used to provide text books that are educationally and philosophically sound in order to give students a solid foundation in the language arts, mathematics, history, and science.
